jane doe advocates' group

The Jane Doe Advocates' Group is a place where legal advocates, healthcare professionals, transition house staff, settlement workers, youth workers and anyone else who works directly with women who have experienced violence can get together to share experiences, challenges and strategies for helping women navigate the legal system.

The Advocates' Group has four main functions:

• To provide feedback and input into Jane Doe services and programs.
• To bring together advocates and other service providers for legal education.
• To promote networking and information sharing among diverse organizations working with women who have experienced violence.
• To work collectively on projects, campaigns and events related to the legal system and violence against women.

The group meets in Vancouver, on the first Tuesday of every month.

Monthly meetings alternate between guest speakers and roundtable discussion sessions.

Advocates and other service providers are welcome to attend individual guest speaker sessions.
