Jane Doe lawyers are available for free and confidential appointments with women who have experienced violence and need legal advice in the following areas:

  • Immigration/refugee law
  • Famiy law
  • Child protection law
  • Criminal law (independent legal advice for victims in a criminal case)

Monthly legal advice clinics on immigration/refugee law and child protection law for women who have experienced violence are held by Jane Doe lawyers in Burnaby and in North Vancouver. You need to make an appointment to attend a clinic.

Legal Workshops and Education

Lawyers are available to deliver legal education workshops, at organizations in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, for frontline workers who serve women who have experienced violence. Workshops can be provided in the following areas:

• child protection law
• criminal law
• family law
• landlord/tenant law

We can work with your organization to tailor a presentation, workshop or training session to meet your staff's needs.

The Jane Doe Legal Network hosts several community legal education sessions, workshops and forums throughout the year. Please contact us if you would like to be informed of upcoming events.
